Dr. Michael Burke
Years in Practice: 27 | Education: University of Florida
Dr. Burke grew up in St. Petersburg, and graduated from the University of Florida in 1991. He has worked in several practices, including the Volusia Animal Emergency Clinic, before purchasing this clinic in May 1999.He has made many improvements to the clinic over the years, updating the building as well as the equipment.
Dr. Burke likes to get to know his patients and clients on a first name basis; the ones he has known for a while will tell you that he likes to chat. He tries to follow up on all his cases, and insists upon doing all his own call backs.
We are all proud that he was recently voted 'Best Vet' in a reader's poll done by the Hometown News.
MargeCertified Veterinary Technician

When Marge joined our team she brought with her more years of experience than she likes to admit. She is a licensed veterinary technician, certified in the state of Florida, and has been with us since 2005. Since 2010, she has also been the Practice Manager. Marge began her veterinary career in a small town practice, and still strives to keep the personal, 'everybody knows your name' feel in our office.

Emily joined us in the beginning of 2012. She has worked in veterinary medicine since 2002; both in emergency and regular practice. She is currently pursuing a degree in biology, and hopes to apply to veterinary school someday. Emily has also been involved in a number of animal related volunteer efforts, including assisting in the recovering of pets after Hurricane Katrina. We are very happy to have her numerous skills. She also works part-time at the Veterinary Emergency Center of East Volusia in Port Orange.
